At least 40 people were killed and 15 injured when a passenger bus plunged off a motorway and rolled into a gully in Guatemala.

At least 40 people were killed and 15 injured when a passenger bus plunged off a motorway and rolled into a gully in Guatemala.

The accident occurred near the city of Cuilapa, about 50 miles east of Guatemala City.

Emergency teams worked to rescue an undetermined number of passengers from the wreckage of the bus.
