Mountain crash fear in Venezuela as plane goes missing

A commercial airliner with 46 people aboard is believed to have crashed in Venezuela after residents reported hearing a thunderous collision in the mountains.

Search teams were dispatched today to the Venezuelan Andes near the city of Merida, from where the plane departed. The flight was reported missing 30 minutes after take-off.
