US aviation experts are investigating whether the pilots of an airliner which overshot a Hawaiian airport by 15 miles were asleep.

“We’re investigating whether the pilot and co-pilot of a February 13 go! airlines flight fell asleep while the plane was in the air between Honolulu and Hilo,” Federal Aviation Administration spokesman Ian Gregor said.
