California and Massachusetts wins boost Clinton

Hillary Clinton’s victories in California and Massachusetts give her campaign the edge as the close race for the Democratic Party’s presidential nomination looks set to continue for several weeks yet.

Mrs Clinton, 60, is the first wife of an American president to run for the office and no woman has ever been nominated as a presidential candidate by a major party.
