McCanns welcome admission from Portugal's top detective

Madeline McCann's family have welcomed an admission from Portugal's top detective.

He says his officers were too hasty in making her parents formal suspects in her disappearance.

The couple were named 'arguidos' four months after their daughter vanished from their holiday apartment.

Their spokesman Clarence Mitchell has said he hopes they will be vindicated.
