Report finds EU common tax system unworkable

A new report for the German Finance Ministry has described a proposed EU common tax system as "unworkable".

The study looked at the effect of shifting VAT, personal and common taxes to the EU budget.

It has said an EU-wide tax will lead to unfair differences between EU citizens.
