Kenya attacks 'are ethnic cleansing': Diplomat

Violent anti-government protests in Kenya’s Rift Valley are aimed at the ethnic cleansing of the Kikuyu tribe there, a diplomat claimed today.

US envoy Jendayi Frazer said the killings, rapes and destruction of property was aimed at chasing out members of President Mwai Kibaki’s people.
