A woman and an 11-year-old girl died at a New Year’s party in the US when a single bullet ripped through the wall of a house shortly after midnight.

A woman and an 11-year-old girl died at a New Year’s party in the US when a single bullet ripped through the wall of a house shortly after midnight.

Police later arrested 25-year-old Pedro Cortez at his Denver, Colorado home on investigation of two counts of first degree murder, police spokesman Sonny Jackson said.
