'Freed' death-row British man taken to hospital

The expected release of a British man who has spent 20 years on death row in the US was postponed today after he was rushed to hospital with chest pains.

Kenny Richey, 43, was expected to walk free today after a court hearing in Ohio.

Officials at the state’s Putnam police court said the case has now been rescheduled to January 8 after Richey was taken to hospital from jail early this morning – hours before his hearing.
