Three Bhutto supporters shot dead
Three supporters of Pakistan opposition leader Benazir Bhutto were killed today when gunmen attacked her party’s office.
The incident, in a town in southwestern Pakistan, was the first election-related violence of the current electoral campaign, police said.
Officers were investigating the shootings, which occurred in Naseerabad – about 250 kilometres east of Quetta, the capital of Baluchistan province - said Wajid Akbar, the district police chief.
Police had no immediate information about the motive for the attack or who was behind it, he said.
Parliamentary elections are scheduled for January 8.
