Report advises axing of 12,700 EU jobs

A dozen of the European Commission’s 27 policy departments should be abolished, a Brussels think-tank says today.

Twelve of the current “Directorates-General” in the EU civil service are “unnecessary”, according to a report by the Globalisation Institute.
