US: Baby twins found under bed of dead mother

US authorities responding to a report of a foul smell found malnourished three-week-old twins under a bed in an apartment containing their mother’s decomposing remains.

Both infants were taken to a hospital yesterday, where one later died. Authorities in Olathe, Kansas, said their 36-year-old mother appeared to have been dead for several days.
