Black sentencing delayed
The sentencing of fallen media mogul Conrad Black on fraud and obstruction of justice charges will be delayed until next month, a judge ruled today.
Lord Black of Crossharbour and other Hollinger International executives swindled shareholders out of more than $6m of their money.
The jury found Black illegally received $3.5m of this as they convicted him of three counts of fraud and one of obstruction in the $60m fraud trial at the Dirksen Federal Courthouse in Chicago, Illinois, in July.
Today, judge Amy St Eve postponed the sentencing from November 30 to December 10 to enable more time for objections to the pre-sentence investigation report to be made.
