An Italian judge today postponed a ruling on whether three people held over the murder of British student Meredith Kercher should continue to be held in jail.

Judge Claudia Matteini said she would decide tomorrow whether Amanda Marie Knox, a 20-year-old student from Seattle, should remain in jail pending further investigation into the death, Knox’s lawyer, Luciano Ghirga, said outside court.
