Gerry McCann returned to work today saying he had done everything he could to ensure the search for his daughter Madeleine goes on.

Before arriving at Glenfield Hospital in Leicester, the consultant cardiologist said: “We have always said that at six months we didn’t want to look back and say I wish we had done that and wish we had done this.
