Last of OJ friends agrees to testify against him

The third man accused of taking part with OJ Simpson in an alleged hotel armed hold-up struck a deal today and agreed to give evidence against the former sports star.

Michael McClinton was allegedly the first man through the door in a raid on two memorabilia dealers in Las Vegas.

He is accused of pointing a gun at dealer Bruce Fromong, who is still recovering from a heart attack that he suffered after the incident.

He joins two other men Walter Alexander and Charles Cashmore, who have already pleaded guilty to reduced charges in exchange for their testimony against Simpson.

McClinton, 49, said he will plead guilty to robbery and conspiracy to commit robbery.

Simpson, controversially found not guilty of the 1994 murder of his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ron Goldman, remains the only defendant to plead not guilty in the case.

He maintains no guns were used in the incident.

Prosecutors say the gang broke into the hotel room on September 13 to retrieve items that Simpson said belonged to him and threatened Mr Fromong and colleague Alfred Beardsley.
