Trial of suspected child killer begins in Belgium

A 19-year-old went on trial today charged with the random racist murders of a toddler and her baby-sitter as he stalked a city’s streets with a shotgun.

The killings, and the wounding of another man, in Antwerp last year sparked revulsion and protests across Belgium.
