Monsoon flooding kills 58 in southern India

Torrential rains and thunder storms have killed at least 58 people in southern India and flooded dozens of villages, officials said today.

Worst hit was the state of Andhra Pradesh where 43 people died in the last four days, said Dharmana Prasad Rao, a state government minister.
