Suicide attack targeting police kills eight in Afghanistan

A suicide bomber walked into a government office and blew himself up today in the volatile south of Afghanistan, killing eight people, including four policemen, officials said.

The district police chief was among the seven people wounded in the attack on the Nad Ali district centre in Helmand province, said deputy provincial police chief Faqir Askeryar.
