Russia’s lower house of parliament confirmed Viktor Zubkov as the country’s new prime minister today.

Politicians in Moscow voted 381-47 to approve the little-known Zubkov for the post, after he was nominated on Wednesday by President Vladimir Putin in a surprise move.
