Floor where mauled Ellie died 'awash with blood'

The scene police in the UK encountered when they were called to the house where five-year-old girl Ellie Lawrenson was mauled to death by a pit bull terrier was described in court today.

The floor was “awash with blood” and the dog was still “frenzied, barking and baring its teeth” from the garden, where it had been banished after the deadly attack.
