Taliban release three South Korean hostages

Taliban militants have released three South Korean hostages into the care of officials from the International Committee of the Red Cross, an Associated Press reporter at the scene in Afghanistan says.

They were the first of 19 captives scheduled to be freed under a deal struck between the insurgents and the South Korean government.
