Uganda to send 250 peacekeeping troops to Somalia

An additional 250 Ugandan soldiers will be dispatched to Somalia for peacekeeping duties, Uganda’s Defence Minister Crispus Kiyonga said today.

An additional 250 Ugandan soldiers will be dispatched to Somalia for peacekeeping duties, Uganda’s Defence Minister Crispus Kiyonga said today.

“Part of our peacekeeping mandate in Somalia is to train and develop the national security organs but we have been so busy with other things we have really neglected this one,” Kiyonga said.
