Four US soldiers killed in Baghdad

Four US soldiers were killed and four others were wounded by an explosion south of Baghdad, the military said today.

The blast struck the soldiers from Task Force Marne during combat operations south of the capital, the military said in a brief statement that provided no more details.

Names of the deceased were withheld pending notification of relatives.
