Guantanamo detainee loses bid to halt Algeria return

The US Supreme Court said today it would not prevent an Algerian army veteran detained at Guantanamo Bay from being transferred to his home country.

Ahmed Bel Bacha, who has been held at Guantanamo for five years, has argued he would be tortured if turned over to Algerian officials.
