'It's not foot and mouth': Farmer

The farmer at the centre of the latest foot and mouth scare said today he is sure his livestock do not have the disease.

A 3km temporary control zone was set up around the farm near Dorking in Surrey, outside the existing surveillance area, after an “inconclusive assessment” of symptoms in cattle, the British Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) said.
