15 dead as boat sinks in flood-swollen Indian river

At least 15 people were killed and 35 more are missing after a boat capsized and sank today on the flood-swollen Ganges River in northern India, an official said.

The boat, carrying some 70 people, apparently overturned due the strong currents, said Manoj Shrivastav, the Bihar state disaster management secretary.
