Twent-eight killed as rescue boat capsizes in India
At least 28 people were killed when an overcrowded boat evacuating people from a flooded village capsized in a northern India river today, a government official said.
Rescuers were looking for another seven people missing in the accident near Maharajgang, a village 200 miles south-east of Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh state, said Harpal Singh, a state government official.
