Gordon Brown today announced reforms to the controversial honours system to make it easier for people to nominate unsung heroes.

Ahead of the launch of his new book on Britain’s Ordinary Heroes, the Prime Minister said he wanted to show that the Government was “recognising and celebrating the great work that people do”.
