Blair: 'Sense of possibility' in the Middle East
Former prime minister Tony Blair, in his new role as Middle East envoy, today said there was ’a sense of possibility’ in the region.
Making his first trip to the region, Mr Blair said his goal “is to listen, to learn, to reflect”.
Speaking in Jerusalem, he said there were opportunities for Israel and the Palestinians to push forward with peace efforts.
Mr Blair spoke at a news conference with Israeli President Shimon Peres.
