Prince Harry regiment soldiers face rape trial

Two soldiers from the same regiment as Prince Harry are due to stand trial tomorrow accused of repeatedly raping a 17-year-old girl in London last year.

Troopers Adam Bray, 20, and David Wright, 25, allegedly attacked the teenager in London’s Green Park, near Buckingham Palace, after a Saturday night out.

The men, from the Household Cavalry Mounted Regiment, were arrested last September at a Blues and Royals’ Central London barracks.

Wright denies three counts of rape on September 30, 2006, while Bray pleads not guilty to two similar charges and one of aiding and abetting such an offence.

Their trial, expected to last about two weeks, will be at London’s Southwark Crown Court.
