Hundreds of passengers faced rush-hour chaos today after an Underground train derailed.

Part of London’s Central line was suspended after the incident between Bethnal Green and Mile End, British Transport Police said.

A spokesman said there were reports that one passenger suffered a minor leg injury when the train left the tracks at 9.04am.

Transport for London said the Central line was suspended between Leytonstone and Liverpool Street.

A London Ambulance Service spokesman said paramedics were attending the scene, but there were no reports of further injuries.
