Palestinian PM welcomes Blair appointment as envoy

Palestinian Prime Minister Salam Fayyad today welcomed the appointment of Tony Blair as Mideast envoy.

Shortly after stepping down as British Prime Minister, Mr Blair was named yesterday by the “Quartet” of peace mediators that includes the United States, the European Union, the United Nations and Russia.
