Hamas arrests senior Fatah military commanders

Hamas fighters have seized Fatah’s senior field commanders in the Gaza Strip, a spokesman for the Islamic group announced today.

Spokesman Abu Obeideh said the group’s men arrested the commander of the National Security organisation and of the elite Presidential Guard, along with a senior Fatah spokesman, a politician and six other officials. The men are being interrogated by Hamas, he said on Hamas TV.
