Israeli military deny tank shell killed children

Palestinian security officials said an Israeli tank shell killed five children from the same family travelling in a car in southern Gaza today, but the Israeli military denied any army fire in the area.

Hamas security officials initially reported that four children were killed, but hospital officials said five children from the Abu Matrok, all under 16, died.

Fatah security officials said the children were travelling in a car with an adult driver, who was also killed, but gave no further details.
