US: Boy tied up in car 'while man ate'

US police found a crying 6-year-old boy tied up in a sweltering car near a restaurant after staff reported seeing a man take the child outside and return without him to finish eating.

Police in Georgia believe the boy, whose name was not released, was tied up for about 30 minutes in temperatures of above 27C (80F) on Saturday.
