An explosive device was found on a train carrying at least 500 passengers in eastern India today, a senior police official said.

“An anonymous caller told the (railway) station authorities that a bomb was kept in the Teesta-Torsha Express,” Railway Police Superintendent Mahendra Singh Punia said from Siliguri, West Bengal state.
