Trains cross Korean border after 57-year stand-off

Trains crossed into the two Koreas’ heavily-fortified Demilitarised Zone today in the first rail journey through the border in more than 50 years.

The one-off test run of trains through the 2.5-mile-wide no-man’s land is the latest symbol of historic reconciliation between long-time foes North and South Korea.
