Gaza: Violence continues despite truce agreement

Gunmen of the rival Hamas and Fatah movements traded fire this morning, killing one man and wounding at least 10, despite a ’truce’ agreed hours earlier.

An agreement hammered out overnight by Egyptian mediators was meant to end a spate of clashes in Gaza that have jeopardised a power-sharing agreement between the sides.
