14 hurt in Turkish market bomb blast
A home-made bomb exploded at a market in the Aegean port city of Izmir today, injuring 14 people, Turkish media reported.
The blast happened at a food market in the Bornova district of Izmir in the morning and most of the injured were salesmen who were preparing their stalls for the day, said the state-run Anatolia news agency.
Two of the injured were reported to be in critical condition.
Local media, citing police, said the blast was caused by a home-made bomb. There was no indication of who might be behind the attack.
