21 Afghan civilians 'killed in NATO airstrike'

At least 21 civilians were killed during an airstrike in support of Nato forces fighting with insurgents in southern Afghanistan, a senior government official said today.

Helmand provincial Gov. Assadullah Wafa said Taliban fighters sought shelter in civilian homes during the fighting in the Sangin district.
