Sighting of child matching Madeleine's description
Road blocks have been set up in the Portuguese town of Nelas, north of Praia de Luz where there has been a reported sighting of a young girl matching the description of missing British toddler Madeleine McCann.
The girl was seen being pushed along by a 'balding man with a ponytail' in a supermarket, reports say the child was reluctant but not crying out.
It was also reported that the two were not speaking Portuguese.
Portuguese police are analysing CCTV footage of the area where the sighting was made and it is expected that the footage will be sent on as soon as possible to Madeleine McCann's parents Gerry and Kate.
Investigators have warned the public not to overreact as there are many children matching Madeline's description holidaying in the Algarve at the moment but they are doing all they can to follow up on the recent report.
