Delegates gather for climate conference

A major climate meeting opened in Thailand today with delegates addressing how the world’s governments can best take action now to avoid the dire consequences of a warming planet.

For the rest of the week, scientist and diplomats attending the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change in Bangkok will work to finalise a report on how the world can mitigate rising levels of carbon dioxide, methane and other heat-trapping gases.
