The FBI said today that an agent killed in a shootout with three suspected bank robbers might have been shot accidentally by a colleague on his stakeout team.

Agent Barry Bush, 52, assigned to the Newark, New Jersey, office, died after agents confronted three men suspected in a series of armed bank robberies.
