US marine killed in Anbar province combat

A US Marine was killed in combat in Iraq’s volatile Anbar province, the military said today.

The Marine, assigned to Multi National Force-West, was killed yesterday, the military statement said in Baghdad.

It gave no further details and said the Marine’s name had been withheld pending family notification.
