Gas tank explodes in Turkish hotel
Holidaymakers at a Turkish hotel have been injured in a gas explosion.
Turkey’s Dogan news agency has reported that one person had been killed in the blast.
A liquefied petroleum gas tank exploded at the five-star Mediterranean hotel, injuring at least 10 tourists, private CNN-Turk television reported.
The explosion occurred at a hotel in the resort town of Belek near the city of Antalya, CNN-Turk said.
Ambulances and firefighters rushed to the scene to evacuate the hotel, reports said.
The explosion came days after workers replaced a giant liquefied petroleum gas tank.
Belek is a popular holiday destination, especially for German, Israeli and Russian tourists.
