Austrian woman, 66, gives birth

A 66-year-old Austrian woman has given birth to a healthy baby, a hospital said today.

The woman, who has not been identified, gave birth several weeks ago after undergoing in vitro fertilisation abroad, according to a spokeswoman for a public hospital in the southern city of Graz.

Hospital officials declined to provide further details, but confirmed Austrian media reports that the woman had a baby five years ago after undergoing a similar procedure.
