Two killed in French schoolbus crash
Two people died and five were injured in a crash in central France between a bus carrying students and a car which was driving on the wrong side of the road.
The bus, carrying junior high school students, was hit head-on near the town of Saint-Sylvestre, about 12 miles north of Limoges.
The driver and passenger of the car – which police confirmed was driving in the wrong direction – were killed in the accident, which happened at around 3.30am local time, 2.30am Irish time.
The five injured students were taken to a Limoges hospital and later released. The students were travelling from Paris to Spain for a school trip.
An investigation has been opened.
