Rome's air traffic controllers were today holding a four-hour strike, which forced Italian airline Alitalia to cancel 96 flights.

Rome's air traffic controllers were today holding a four-hour strike, which forced Italian airline Alitalia to cancel 96 flights.

Unions called the strike to protest about a lack of staff, and workers were scheduled to walk off their jobs from 10am to 2pm (9am-1pm Irish time).
