Teenager 'killed parents then shot himself'
Spanish police discovered the body of a German teenager and the chopped-up remains of his parents in their coastal villa in eastern Spain, the Interior Ministry said today.
Initial investigations indicated the 19-year-old shot himself on Thursday, five days after the death of his parents, the ministry said.
Police suspect the youth killed his parents and then took his own life, it said.
Civil Guard police went to the house where the family lived in Alcanar town on Thursday, after workers at a compressor factory that the father ran reported he had not been seen for several days, and that the business had been shut without explanation, the ministry said.
Police found the teenager’s body in the home, as well as pieces of the parents’ bodies in the garden.
The parents were aged 57 and 46.
